    Employing 10% of private workers, the charitable sector is big, but not very fair. Typically, you find women at the bottom at big organizations and the top of smaller ones. Gender Fair just released ratings on 20,000 nonprofits--with metrics on leadership, pay equality and diversity. If you donate, check the score of the recipients of your largesse--does the organization align with your values of equality?     Gender Fair is proud to have worked with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Accenture along with Philips, L'Oréal, ODI, Leitner Center for International Law and Justice, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), United Nations Global Compact, United Nations Foundation, Global Fairness Initiative and Responsible Business Alliance on developing a groundbreaking scorecard of indicators and metrics for companies to track progress and build accountability on key social issues in the workplace including maternity leave, fertility treatments and sexual harassment protocols. Gender Fair is a member of UNFPA's Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business which launched at World Economic Forum in January 2023.     Recent research shows that there are ways employers can help women be more satisfied in their jobs. As Liz Etling states in Forbes article 'Women Are Less Satisfied At Work Than Men: Here’s How To Fix It': "The good news for employers is that these are tangible areas with relatively straightforward solutions: conduct a pay equity audit, implement salary transparency, standardize jobs and pay, encourage salary negotiation and increase access to paid family leave for all employees. There are a multitude of ways leaders can work toward pay parity, equitable opportunities for job growth and access to healthcare that covers the needs of women. This includes recognizing the inherent challenges women face at work—such as the broken rung—as well as taking a closer look at the needs of working mothers."At Gender Fair, we independently rate companies using public data on how they support women through their career lifecycle--leadership & career development programs, employee policies (such as pay equity audits, healthcare, work flexibility, paid leaves), unconscious bias in advertising, diversity and inclusion and social impact.Gender Fair rated companies and organizations are often the top performing in the world for a reason - they value and respect their workforce.     Yesterday, Women Business Collaborative board member and Gender Fair CEO, Johanna (José) Zeilstra, joined and Kolar Design for a discussion on supplier diversity for the "Rethinking and Accelerating Women's Leadership in Business Forum." The half-day forum featured preeminent women and men leaders working to ensure women can and will lead in business and showcased the trends, transformations, and innovations within WBC Initiatives.

    Jonathan O'Brian is a big thinker who uses his voice to bring new ideas to his field. Putting a gender lens on the supply chain CAN create change at an order of magnitude larger than consumer action--they're doing it in many countries. Thanks to people who took real action to bring this big idea in the US Bracken Darrell Prakash Arunkundrum and our coalition member companies Zoetis Andela Salesforce @MadisonGunther and the late David Latten.
