Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday!!
Other than my birthday... but I guess that's not really considered a holiday.
What's not to love about Thanksgiving?!
It's all of my favorite things:
1. SO MUCH delicious food ALL. DAY. LONG. (and leftovers of the delicious food for days to come!)
2. Family and friends
3. Expressing GRATITUDE!
We always go around the table and say what we are grateful for, and every year I am overcome with so much emotion (aka I cry... A LOT. Tears of joy though... that seem to get more voluminous each year...)
I am just so unbelievably FULL of appreciation for this amazing life!!!
No, things aren't always perfect.
They aren't perfect a lot of the time actually. And life can be SO challenging.
But when it comes down to it, I am so beyond grateful for every single experience and person that comes into my life. Good and bad. Happy and sad.
Because life is such an incredible journey. And we are all here to learn and live it TOGETHER!!
On that note, I am SOOOOOO THANKFUL for each and every one of you.
You inspire me every day to continue this blog and pursue my passion of spreading my message that health and wellness can be easy, fun, and DELICIOUS.
We're in this together, friends.
I love you all ❤️

Holy moly these were so good! We were so hesitant because we used to be big hotdog fans before going vegan and we were worried they'd disappoint. They did not!!! My husband threw them on the grill for warming, So yummy and a new staple for BBQ nights at our place!
For an alternative to turkey that's mild in flavor and can be treated like any other protein, turn to Burmese tofu, which transforms chickpea flour, oil, and water into a sturdy tofu-like dish.

As for cooking methods, duck, pheasant and goose can roast in the oven just like you would a turkey. The fattier duck and geese should be slow-roasted so the fat renders and you get a crispy skin. A quick reminder: Just like all poultry, make sure your bird reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
Tofurky is the brand name of an American vegan turkey replacement (also known as a meat analogue, or, more specifically, tofurkey) made from a blend of wheat protein and organic tofu.
